Sandymount is one of our most varied tag locations, with something for the super-serious tagger and the complete beginner. Ideally located right next to the DART line and an abundance of buses, this venue really buzzes on a Monday evening.

ABOUT THE VENUE

The club is located next to the DART line, with Sandymount the closest stop. The number 4 and 7(a) buses run along the Merrion Road, a 7-min walk from the entrance. There is plenty of parking for bikes and cars.

Why bother going offsite when the club has its own bar? Summer nights in the club are famous for teams splitting straight from the pitch to an on-site bar and BBQ, taking in the longer evenings the best way possible.

The club has two grass rugby pitches which are maintained year-round. Boots with plastic or moulded studs are your best bet for a pitch like this. You can wear runners, but should be careful on the wet evenings if you do.

From May to September, the venue is one of our most vibrant social occasions. The social league has some beginner teams and some intermediate teams, with a separate corporate league to cater for the local businesses. For the rest of the year, we run mixed elite, women's elite, and social and novice standard mixed leagues.

We play in Pembroke year-round, except for a break in Spring to allow for pitch maintenance. The next league here is the 2024 New Year League, which begins on 15th January. Kick-off times range from 18:45 to 21:00.
