Get into tag rugby in 2025

If your New Year's Resolution is to get outdoors and meet people, then you're in luck! As with every year since 2000, our mission is to connect people through a social sport that's designed for fun - and we have ways for you to get involved immediately!

No Experience Needed: whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting, social tag rugby is accessible to everyone. It's easy to learn, with simple rules that ensure a fun experience from day one.

Nearly all of our tag rugby venues accept individual sign-up. In simple terms, this means you sign up on your own (or with a friend) and join a team together. You'll get an email with all the details, and get to play a game every week with the same group of people. This option suits anyone who has played some sport before, and wants to take advantage of tag's learn-by-doing style.

We also operate some beginner-friendly "Just for fun" experiences, where there is a bit more guidance for new players. In these experiences, you get a game every week in a team made up of the same broader group, mixed up to promote mingling. This is a more casual approach where you get a game (and maybe a pub trip) every week, but don't play for points.

South Dublin

The High School, Rathgar, Dublin 6W

This programme will run on the floodlit, 4G pitch at The High School, Rathgar on Tuesday evenings. The games are at 19:05 and 19:50, which means no matter what you'll be on the way home for 21:00.

Social tag has an emphasis on fun, meeting new people, guaranteed games, and having the craic afterwards! Tag Rugby is known for its welcoming and inclusive community. It's a great way to make new friends and enjoy a supportive team environment - and that's what we want from this!

This Autumn and Winter you can play tag purely for the craic in Rathgar, located just outside of the village centre close to public transport links. The venue boasts a modern 4G pitch, access to public transport links, loads of parking, and nearby social venues.

City Centre

Irishtown Stadium, Ringsend, Dublin 4

This year you can play tag purely for the craic at Irishtown Stadium, located just outside of the city centre close to public transport links.

The venue boasts a modern 4G pitch, access to public transport links, loads of parking, and nearby social venues. Best of all, Irishtown boasts after-work-friendly kick-off times of 18:20 and 19:05 - so no matter what, you'll be done playing before 20:00! No Experience Needed: whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting, social tag rugby is accessible to everyone. It's easy to learn, with simple rules that ensure a fun experience from day one.

Sign up individually and invite any friends who want to join you. Your registration covers participation for the entire season and guarantees at least one social, just-for-fun game per week at our city-centre venue.
