ITRA is delighted to announce the return of BEACH TAG in 2025!

Our tag event will take place on Tullan Strand in Bundoran on Saturday 6th September, as part of the Saltwater Festival running across the town that week. We're running a massive tournament on the Saturday, while giving you access to the festival and sharing in the craic with the surfers.

Popular with serious surfers, Tullan Strand is a 2km beach stretching from the north end of Bundoran Town to the Erne Estuary at Ballyshannon.

The tournament is open to teams of all levels, and will run like Pig N' Porter - i.e. we will grade your team based on who signs up. There are no quotas, but you can expect to play against teams of a similar standard. You can have a maximum of 14 players on a team, and the games will be played in accordance with mixed social laws.

Your team fee covers the registration & participation costs for your team, plus one night of entry to the Saltwater surfers village which will feature international music acts.

We have booked the Atlantic Aparthotel as a home base for the event and have some special rates for the event. They have a selection of self catering apartments that can sleep 2 -7 people. The ApartHotel will be home base for the event and is in walking distance to the beach site. We also have a special rate at the 4 star Great Northern Hotel a short walk away.

There is limited availability on the rates we have secured so if interested get in contact ASAP at sports@saltwater.ie. AFTER YOU HAVE BOOKED YOUR TEAM PLACE.

The Aparthotel has a mixture of 2-3 bedroom apartments that sleep 2-6 people, and your stay includes access to the leisure centre. All apartments are self-catering.

It will feature over 100 of the top under-21 male and female surfers from across Europe, competing in the European leg of the World Tour.
