Clontarf Astro Pitches, Dublin 3

Our long-running Thursday series in Clontarf is played on a newly renovated 4G astro pitch owned by Dublin City Council, literally in the shadow of the DART station at Clontarf Road. It's renowned for its social scene and the enjoyable community.

ABOUT THE VENUE

The venue is directly adjacent to the Clontarf Road DART station, and the N4, 15 and 27 buses all stop right outside. There is plenty of car and bike parking.

Depending on the mood of the evening the teams will either be in Harry Byrne's or the Yacht pub. The one certainty is that they will be there - it's Thursday, after all!

The venue has a 4G all-weather rugby pitch with modern floodlights. Trainers and plastic studs are ideal, particularly the latter. No metal studs are allowed at all in any tag venues.

Thursday tag in Clontarf is mixed social, suitable for beginners and featuring some intermediate teams. The venue is popular with work teams in the area.

We play in Clontarf year-round. Kick-offs are 20:15 and 21:00.
